All-American Kadina Deeble Finishes Seventh in 100m Hurdles Final at NJCAA Division I Championships

Hobbs, N.M. — Under the bright championship lights at the 2026 NJCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 16, Essex County College standout Kadina Deeble delivered an All-American finish on Saturday evening, placing seventh in the women's 100-meter hurdles final against the nation's top junior college competition.

Deeble advanced to the national final after running 13.91 seconds in the preliminary round, earning the ninth seed heading into the finals against a loaded field of elite NJCAA hurdlers. In the championship final, the Essex County College sophomore battled through a fast-paced race and crossed the line in 13.71 seconds to finish seventh overall, securing All-American honors on Day 3 of competition in Hobbs, New Mexico. The talented hurdler showed composure from the opening gun throughout the national meet, continuing her strong postseason campaign while representing the Wolverines on one of junior college track & field's biggest stages.

Competing against elite NJCAA talent, Deeble once again proved herself among the top sprint hurdlers in the country, delivering another All-American performance on the national stage for Essex County College.
