West Windsor, NJ - The Essex County College Lady Wolverines dropped a hard-fought 1–0 match to the Mercer Mustangs on Saturday afternoon. Mercer scored the game's only goal in the 36th minute of the first half and held off Essex the rest of the way.
Freshman Martine Joazard led the Essex attack with two shots on goal, while fellow freshman Taytana Hendricks added one shot on goal. Despite several chances, the Lady Wolverines couldn't find the equalizer.
Essex will look to bounce back as they host Rowan College of South Jersey–Gloucester on Thursday, October 9 at 5:30 PM.
