Newark, NJ - The Lady Wolverines earned a another conference win defeating Middlesex College 71–61 on Tuesday night, powered by four players scoring in double figures and a strong second-half push.
Division II GSAC Player of the Week Gabriella Brown led the way with 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists, knocking down four threes to pace the offense. Sophomore guard, Natalie Fonseca delivered a major spark off the bench, bringing high energy and efficiency with 16 points on 5–7 shooting.
Freshman center, Essence Cushionberry nearly posted a double-double with 13 points and 9 rebounds, while sophomore guard, Aniya Brown added 10 points and 7 boards in a steady two-way effort.
The balanced scoring and depth proved to be the difference as Essex improved their momentum heading into their next matchup.
