Essex Wolverines Dominate County College of Morris in 125–20 Victory
Newark, NJ | The Essex County College Lady Wolverines delivered a commanding performance on Tuesday night, overpowering the County College of Morris Titans in a 125–20 road victory. From the opening tip, Essex showcased suffocating defense, efficient scoring, and exceptional teamwork, resulting in one of the program's most dominant wins in recent history.
Six Wolverines scored in double figures, highlighting the team's depth and balanced offensive attack. Gabriella Brown once again led the charge with a game-high 31 points, her second 31-point outing of the season. She added 11 steals, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds, putting together a standout two-way performance.
Essence Cushionberry posted a strong double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds, along with 2 assists and a steal. Natalie Fonseca continued her efficient stretch of play, contributing 17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals, while Kassandrah Phanor added 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals.
At the point, Mia-Marie Thomas controlled the pace with 10 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds, and sophomore guard Aniya Brown nearly recorded a triple-double with 12 points, 9 assists, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and a block.
