Wolverines Generate Strong Output at Kean University's Cougars Showcase

Union, NJ — Thursday, April 23rd, The Essex County College Wolverines produced a high-powered performance at the Kean University Cougars Showcase, converting energy into results with a series of top finishes and personal marks under the lights at Alumni Stadium.

In the Men's 100m, Iddrisu Musah delivered a breakthrough performance, capturing 1st place in 10.90, while Sanjay Weekes registered 11.44, recovering from an ankle injury.

In the Men's 200m, Raziel O'Meally surged to a 2nd place finish in 23.24, with freshman Brandon Lee-Williams posting a 24.42 (PB), while Essex County native Jamali Campbell ran 25.14 in the event.

The Wolverines displayed sustained output in the Men's 400m, as Weekes secured 1st place in 49.93 seconds. Issah Abdul Rahaman followed with a 5th place finish in 51.77, sophomore Ayotunde Ayodele placed 7th in 53.42, and O'Meally crossed the line in 54.26. Lee-Williams contributed a 54.68 (PB), while Campbell posted a season-best (SB) of 57.05.

In the Men's 800m, freshman Alejandro Arreaga recorded a 2:11.84 (PB), and in the Men's 1500m, he finished 6th in 4:22.80.

The Wolverines demonstrated rising velocity as the team continues to build toward peak performance as the outdoor season rounds out. As a full squad, the Wolverines will next compete at Ramapo College's Last Chance Twilight on Friday, May 8th.
