Essex CC Overpowers Bergen CC with an 8-0 Victory

Newark, NJ | The Essex County College men's soccer team delivered an emphatic statement on Thursday evening, shutting out Bergen Community College with a dominant 8–0 performance on their home turf.

The Wolverines took control early and never looked  back. Milomir Cvoric opened the scoring in the 17th minute, netting his first goal of the season. Noel Dreist followed with two quick goals before Roland Kabore added a fourth just before the half, giving the Wolverines a commanding 4-0 lead. 

Coming out of the half, Kristijan Penic wasted no time extending the lead, scoring just minutes into the second half and then adding another goal 13 minutes later to make it 6-0. Noah Kaiser found himself on the score sheet after scoring a stunning upper 90 goal from a free kick. Penic completed his hat trick in the 85th minute to cap off the scoring and ending the game. 

The Wolverines return to action on Saturday, September 13th against Middlesex College as they look to extend the winning streak to three games.
